In run type ‘diskpart’ thn after cmd prmpt is open.
Thn type ‘list volume’ and hit enter.List of volume will appears.Then type ‘select volume 3′ or any a msg prompt volume 3 is selected.Then type ‘remove letter f’ nr any in ur volume thts no is 3 press enter.Ur hardisk will hide.To assign again ur hard disk reapt all that command bt instead of ‘remove’ use ‘assign letter f’ ur hard disk will come again in front of u..

To lock your XP works-tation with just two clicks of the mouse. First create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click, and enter ‘rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation’ in the location field. Name the shortcut whatever you like. Then just double click on it and your computer will be instantly locked. The Windows key + L also does the same thing.

It is possible to delete a file immediately in XP Pro without sending it to the recycle bin first. Go to the Start Menu, select Run and type ‘gpedit.msc’. Select User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Windows Explorer and find the Do not move deleted files to the Recycle Bin setting.

Go to Start > Right click on “My Computer” > Advanced > Click “Settings” under “Performance” > Advanced > Click “Change” button below under “Irtual Memory” section.

Choose the C: Drive, and set maximum and Initial size as equal to ur RAM sizs.
Then select an other drive, click on “Custom Size”, and give 1024 MB (1GB) as the Initial and Maximum size.
Click on Set.
OK > OK > OK.

U may need to restart the system to make the changes take effect.

1. Click on “Start” in the bottom left hand corner of screen
2. Click on “Run”
3. Type in “command” and hit ok

You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.

4. Type “ipconfig /release” just like that, and hit “enter”
5. Type “exit” and leave the prompt
6. Right-click on “Network Places” or “My Network Places” on your desktop.
7. Click on “properties”

You should now be on a screen with something titled “Local Area Connection”, or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.

8. Right click on “Local Area Connection” and click “properties”
9. Double-click on the “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” from the list under the “General” tab
10. Click on “Use the following IP address” under the “General” tab
11. Create an IP address (It doesn’t matter what it is. I just type 1 and 2 until i fill the area up).
12. Press “Tab” and it should automatically fill in the “Subnet Mask” section with default numbers.
13. Hit the “Ok” button here
14. Hit the “Ok” button again

You should now be back to the “Local Area Connection” screen.

15. Right-click back on “Local Area Connection” and go to properties again.
16. Go back to the “TCP/IP” settings
17. This time, select “Obtain an IP address automatically”

19. Hit “Ok” again
20. You now have a new IP address

With a little practice, you can easily get this process down to 15 seconds.

Simply edit the ymsgr.ini file, which you will find in the same folder as the Messenger program, in your Program Files folder. Locate the file and open it in Notepad.
